who among us has known a jw who has committed suicide.
i believe this as a separate subject has not been covered..
I know of one elder who committed suicide a few years back + a recent (attempted) with firearm that now has him drinking his meals for the rest of his life.
Most level headed folks will tell you that "this happens everywhere". OK then.....what makes this religion so special then?
And if its not special, set apart, elevated, the only true, the way, the truth......then what is it?

I was logged in to jw.org 1 hour before leaving to go the meeting on the night of my "no longer serving as an elder" announcement finishing up a few last minute things.
>I hit the SUBMIT button to upload the cong field service time.
>Entered 3 BOE recommendations for the next CO visit to consider
>Deleted my standing order for foreign language mags
>Deleted (er, updated) my Administrator functions to 0
>Deleted my personal login
>Threw my blood card in the fireplace
Then a week later got a lecture from the CO Re: 2 Samuel 6:7 and "Uzzah" reaching for the Ark of the Covenant when it wasn't his place to do so. In reference to it not being my place to delete my Administrator privileges.

On the way home from the meeting today my 14 year old said...."the murderer hanging on the stake...Jesus said would be in His kingdom. Was he baptized?"
Also from today's Watchtower there were THREE specific places where baptism age was mentioned:
1) "A teenager named Abigail, who got baptized at age 12"
2) "An 18-year-old sister, baptized when she was 13"
3) "That is a comment made by Olivia, who is 17 and who got baptized as a preteen"
One of my other children asked...."how old was Jesus when he was Baptized?" I enjoyed reminding them of the answer.
I LOVE this age of critical thinking and am hopeful it will save the wife and kids from high control group misery. Trust the unchanging life principles of the Bible, not a group of men and their institutionalized and fluctuating interpretations.

No. Many millions who....weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation....Additionally, many now living (who have yet to become Jehovah's Witnesses) may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation.
